In touring news, the band perform at a handful of radio festivals next month before heading out once again on the Warped Tour starting June 25 in Carson, CA. Pierce The Veil’s new album was named one of Alternative Press Magazine’s “Most Anticipated of 2010.” As they declared: “Short of having a song specifically written about you, the upcoming release from San Diego post-hardcore four-piece Pierce The Veil might be as close to having music made directly for you as you’ll get.” And the magazine had praised A Flair For The Dramatic: “Their schizophrenic attack cross-pollinates adventurous post-hardcore with Swiss-Army rock smarts and soaring choruses…” We all have natural tendencies to want, love, and take.” He adds, “It’s about that ‘evil’ thing inside of us that is really not evil at all, it’s just there and always will be inside all of us.” “In no way is this a negative thing, it’s human nature. We have 100% confidence that we made a very special album with Mike.”Īnd what about the album title? “We are all in one way or another selfish machines,” says Vic. We wanted to make sure that the new album will sound great and we also wanted to work with someone that has the same love for what they do as we do. As Vic explains, “We chose Mike Green for two reasons: one, his records sound amazing and two, he is a very down to earth and passionate person. Working with Mike Green was an easy decision for the band. “We kept our fans in mind with every song that we wrote because we knew that in a few months we would be sharing these songs with them at shows,” says Vic. The band–Vic Fuentes (vocals), brother Mike Fuentes (drums), Tony Perry (guitar), and Jaime Preciado (bass)–took inspiration from their fans and years of non-stop touring into consideration when writing Selfish Machines. A deluxe edition will also be available, including the CD, bonus tracks, a “making of” DVD, and two 2.5-inch vinyl figurines based on the two characters in the album cover artwork. Selfish Machines is now available for pre-order through.

The Man).įans itching to hear new music sooner than later can log onto the band’s Myspace page where new track “The Boy Who Could Fly” is currently streaming.
